A hazmat situation in South Nashville that brought out Metro Police, Fire, THP and CSX has been cleared and everyone is safe.

A truck carrying organic peroxide got stuck on some railroad tracks.

The incident near the corner of Murfreesboro Pike and Foster Avenue was dispatched just after 11 a.m.

Emergency personnel blocked off Foster Avenue at both Murfreesboro Pike and Woodycrest Avenue.

Nothing leaked from the truck, but officials warned everyone within a half-mile radius to shelter in place for a while.

It took several hours to clear the scene.
