At least five items were taken during a smash-and-grab burglary Wednesday morning at a business in Hermitage.
Metro police responded before 2 a.m. to a break-in at Huck’s Defense Company on Old Hickory Boulevard.
Officers said two men, believed to be in their late teens or early 20s, smashed the glass to the business and entered.
The business owners said the burglars took demonstration guns, including two glocks and a long rifle, along with gun equipment.
“We’ve only been here six months,” store owner Dylan Robinson told News 2. “It’s really frustrating. It’s really disheartening to find out that your nearly brand new store has been broken into already.”
The break-in was captured on several surveillance cameras.
“We have tons and tons and tons of super hi-def cameras for this purpose, but we certainly hope we never have to use it,” said Robinson. “Unfortunately in this case, we had to.”
Anyone with information on the smash-and-grab burglary is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIME.
