Franklin police release surveillance video of suspect taking cash register

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Franklin police department released new surveillance video of a robbery at a gas station Saturday morning.

In the video, the robbery suspect is seen climbing over the counter and stealing the cash register from Twice Daily Shell on Royal Oaks Boulevard.

Police said the robbery happened at 12:40 a.m. on Saturday.

Authorities say a man carrying a box cutter walked into the store, threatened the clerk and demanded money.

When the frightened worker did not move fast enough, the suspect reportedly took off with the entire cash register.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds.

He has a long, skinny face, dirty blonde hair, and a reddish brown goatee. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt at the time of the crime.
