Former Titans head coach Mike Mularkey is back in the NFL after joining the Atlanta Falcons staff Tuesday.
Mularkey will coach tight ends for the Falcons who also hired Dirk Koetter to be their new offensive coordinator.
Mularkey has a long history of coaching tight ends after playing tight end for about a decade in the NFL with the Vikings and Steelers. It is his second stint on the Falcons staff, he was the Falcons offensive coordinator under Mike Smith from 2008-2011 and still owns a home in Georgia.
Mularkey told News 2 he is “very excited” about the opportunity to go back to Atlanta.
