A stair climb at Nissan Stadium Friday morning will honor the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001.

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation organized the event, inviting the public to climb 2,200 steps in the stadium.

The steps symbolize the 110 stories of the World Trade Center climbed by firefighters on 9/11.

Registration opens at 7 a.m. The climb begins at 8 a.m.

Proceeds from the climb will benefit the Fire Department of New York’s Counseling Services Unit and the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
