Fire crews from across Rutherford County came together Friday to save a dozen kittens from a burning building.

The information comes from the Rutherford County Fire & Rescue Facebook Page. The post explains that while responding to a structure fire, crews found a dozen or so kittens trapped inside.

It was Capt. Larry Sloan who directed crews to jump into rescue mode, moving quickly to save the “rambunctious and frightened little precious fur babies.”

Some of the kittens required oxygen, but all were safely removed.

The crews involved were Rutherford County Fire & Rescue, Lascassas Volunteer Fire Department, and Almaville Volunteer Fire Rescue Department.
