Family reunites at Nashville airport during the holiday

News

It’s been a busy few days at Nashville International Airport. BNA urged all passengers to arrive early on Sunday and Monday.

For one family, the holiday rush was overshadowed by happiness.

“It was a long search but we were able to find the family… after as I say…lots of investigation,” said Justin Wardle, from the United Kingdom.

Wardle’s mom, Jacqueline Goodley, is from Nottingham, England. Goodley was adopted at a young age in the U.K.

Her mom and sister had already left for the United States.

Goodley told News 2 that after a lifetime of questions, she got answers.

Wardle and Goodley spent their first American Thanksgiving meeting with their family in Tennessee this week.

“I wanted to know where I hailed from. Where I come from. Where I belong to.. that type of thing. Now I know, I’ve got a great family.” said Goodley.

Wardle added that he and his mother will now claim some southern charm.

“Yes, just a little bit yes,” said Wardle.
