Families displaced following South Nashville apartment fire

Multiple families are displaced following a fire at a South Nashville apartment complex early Monday morning.  

The fire began around 2 a.m. at the Amalie Point Apartments on Amalie Drive, which is near the intersection of Old Hickory Boulevard and Nolensville Pike.  

Crews battled the fire for over an hour. No injuries were reported.

At least four units were destroyed in the fire. 

The American Red Cross is assisting displaced families with housing. 

No additional information was released.
