NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — East Nashville restaurant Hunan Express was burglarized early Thursday morning.
According to the owner, the restaurant’s alarm company notified him around 6 a.m. of a possible break-in.
The suspect or suspects had broken the company’s drive-thru window and climbed inside the restaurant.
The suspect grabbed the cash register and brought it outside. Realizing it was empty, the suspect left the cash register behind, on the pavement, just outside the drive thru window.
Nothing was stolen from the business.
Despite the restaurant’s shattered window, the owner said Hunan Express would open at 11 a.m. for lunch as usual.
Metro police detectives were at the scene Thursday morning investigating.
