DUI stop turns into meth, fentanyl bust in Grundy County

An overnight DUI stop in Grundy County turned into a drug bust, according to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office.  

Officials said 47-year-old Donna Shadrick was pulled over in Palmer, TN for suspicion of DUI. During the investigation, deputies ended up finding meth wrapped in $1 bills and what they believed to be fentanyl wrapped in a $5 bill.  

According to a release, a field test kit confirmed the presence of fentanyl. Deputies also seized $750.  

Shadrick was charged with DUI, possession of schedule II drugs, possession of IV drugs, and possession of drugs for resale.  

Her bond has not been set.
