Metro Fire officials say the site of a chemical fire in downtown Nashville is still not safe for investigators to enter.

The fire broke out Saturday at the Advanced Plating building in the 1400 block of Cowan Court.

Officials say figuring out a cause will have to wait until the site where they found multiple hazardous materials is considered safe.

The fire has also reignited multiple times over the past few days.

Officials have been letting most of the material burn to prevent runoff from going into the river.

While no one was injured, fire officials confirmed that several firefighters had to be treated due to the extreme heat.

Nearby businesses were evacuated.
