Five local police departments make their data publicly available through CrimeMapping.com.

Nashville, Murfreesboro, Ashland City, Brentwood, and Columbia police departments all partner with the website, which allows users to search reported crime based on various criteria.

Crime reports can be filtered by the type of crime, location, and when the incident occurred.

The data is updated once per day and includes the past six months.
