Maury County student arrested for allegedly making threat towards school


MAURY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Maury County student is currently behind bars at a juvenile detention center for an alleged threat made towards a school.

On Thursday, the sheriff’s office investigated the incident and found probable cause that the student made the threat. One parent said it was targeted at Hampshire Unit School.

The student was arrested and charged with Commission of an Act of Terrorism, and remains in custody.
