WESTMORELAND, Tenn. (WKRN) — A woman accused of leading police on a chase then disappearing into a wooded area has been captured by police.

Westmoreland police officials confirmed that they got information Jennifer Stewart was in a home on Brant Perry Road. They found her hiding in the home and arrested her.

The city’s police department issued an alert Monday morning and said Stewart was trying to deal narcotics in the city, so she was pursued by officers in the area of Old Highway 52 and the new Highway 52 near Carter Street.

Stewart eventually ditched her vehicle and ran into the woods, police said.
