Teen arrested for shooting, robbing man in Edgehill Homes

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A teen is behind bars after police said he robbed and shot a man in the Edgehill neighborhood.  

According to a release, police responded to the call Tuesday evening in the 1200 block of 12th Avenue South in Edgehill Homes.  

Detectives said the victim approached a group of people standing near the front porch of an apartment to ask for a cigarette. He told police one of the individuals in the group demanded his belongings and shot him in the leg.  

Police said they were able to match a nickname they had been given to 17-year-old Cornelius Reed. The victim later identified Reed in a photo lineup.  

Reed was booked into juvenile detention and charged with especially aggravated robbery.
