A suspected drug dealer and alleged gang member delivery behind bars in Murfreesboro after police raided his home last week.

Quindale Preston, 25, was arrested without incident at his Havering Drive home.

Police said there were repeated complains about increased traffic in and out of the house.

Police told News 2, they found a felony amount of marijuana and an assault rifle in the home. They believe he was using the house to traffic drugs.

The investigation also revealed Preston is a member of the Rolling 60’s Crips Street Gang.

The home backs up to a child care center with only a wooden fence separating a playground.

“Unfortunately, criminals don’t tend to advertise where they live so, while you assume where your children are staying is a safe place, we’re not for sure,” said Murfreesboro Police Officer Amy Norville.  “And that’s why these investigations are so important to get these people out of that area and locked up.”

Preston is facing multiple charges including possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, maintaining a dwelling for purpose of narcotic sales, manufacture, delivery and sale of Schedule VI.  He also had outstanding warrants for felony violation of parole, domestic assault and preventing a 911 call.

His bond was set at $52,000 and is scheduled to appear in court on October 18.
