NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro police are investigating after a Mapco in South Nashville was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday morning.

The robbery occurred at the Nashboro Village location on Murfreesboro Pike around 4:30 a.m.

Metro police said the suspect was wearing a surgical mask when he walked into the store and asked where the Reese’s are before he pulled out a gun.

He ran from the store toward Mt. Zion Baptist Church across the street.

K-9 officers were brought in to help track the suspect but the rain threw off the suspect’s scent, according to Metro police.

There were no customers inside the store at the time and no one was injured.

Metro police described the suspect as a black man in his late teens or early 20s, wearing blue jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt.
