NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The 34-year-old woman accused of stabbing a man over the weekend in South Nashville told officers she did not know why she did it and was intoxicated, a Metro police report states.

Ebony Hurd was booked Monday into the Metro jail on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

According to an arrest affidavit, the victim told officers he and his girlfriend were outside of a residence on Millwood Drive near Murfreesboro Pike, when Hurd stabbed him in the back of his arm.

He said he grabbed Hurd, pinned her down, grabbed the knife and stabbed her in the thigh, the paperwork states.

Hurd was reportedly located by police hiding under the Millwood Bridge with two wounds that matched where the victim stated he stabbed her.

The victim and Hurd were both transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening, officers said.

Hurd was jailed on a $50,000 bond.
