Surveillance video helped to identify the 24-year-old man accused of firing a gun into a Nashville motel room Tuesday morning during an attempted robbery.
Metro police responded to a Motel 6 on Stewarts Ferry Pike where they said a man fired a handgun into the window of a room while people were inside, damaging the window and other parts of the room.
Two people inside the motel room told detectives the man used the handgun in an attempt to rob them of money.
While inside the room, the suspect reportedly fired two rounds, then fled the scene and was located in a nearby field.
Once in custody, police identified the suspect as Emanuel Gage. He was arrested on multiple charges including two counts of attempted aggravated robbery.
No injuries were reported during the robbery.
