Robbery considered motive in murder of elderly Antioch man

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police detectives are considering robbery as the possible motive in one man’s murder in Antioch. 

According to a release, 78-year-old Larry Claybaker was found outside his Sterry Court home Sunday morning. A neighbor called the police just before 9 a.m. after finding Claybaker lying next to his car. 

Police said residents who live in the area told detectives they heard what sounded like gunshots between midnight and 1 a.m. 

A small blue hatchback, possibly a Toyota, was seen driving away.
