Police are investigating after a woman was shot inside a Murfreesboro apartment during an apparent robbery.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. Thursday night at an apartment complex located in the 200 block of North Rutherford Boulevard.
Witnesses told police three men entered the apartment and at least one of the suspects displayed a handgun and demanded items from the occupants.
During the robbery, shots were fired, and a woman was struck. She was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville and was last listed in critical condition.
A description of the suspects was not immediately released.
