Police: Nashville Teen arrested for robbing woman in post office

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Nashville teen is in custody after police say he robbed a woman inside a post office Thursday night.  

According to police, a woman at the U.S. Post Office in the 3900 block of Lebanon Pike reported that two young men took her wallet at gunpoint and fled towards Jacksonian Drive.  

Officers said they responded and quickly found two men who matched the suspect descriptions on Plantation Drive near Bonnahill Drive. They fled into a wooded area and canine officers were called to the scene and began to track.  

17-year-old Isiah Green was found lying on the ground and hiding in thick brush. He surrendered to authorities.  

Green was positively identified by the victim. Detectives said they are pursuing leads on the second suspect.  

Green was charged in juvenile court with armed robbery.
