A 47-year-old man has been charged after a loaded gun was found early Wednesday morning on the dance floor of a Broadway bar.

Metro police were called to 221 Broadway, which is the address for Kid Rock’s Big Honky Tonk Rock N’ Roll Steakhouse, where staff members reported a woman turned in a handgun she located while on the dance floor.

The staff said Thomas Cain, III. then approached them and asked if anyone had turned in a handgun, stating his gun had fallen from his waistband.

Bar employees told officers the gun was loaded when it was given to them.

Police said Cain admitted he was drinking, so they charged him with possession of a firearm while drinking in a bar.

His bond was set at $3,000.
