Woman killed by estranged husband in Hermitage murder-suicide

HERMITAGE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro Police identified a woman they said was killed by her estranged husband in a Hermitage murder-suicide Friday.

According to MNPD, Beverly McPherson, 42, was killed during the incident that took place at her mother’s home on Bonnaspring Drive.

Investigators said her estranged husband, 39-year-old Antwaund Cartwright, came to the home and argued with McPherson before going outside to get a shotgun. Police learned Cartwright fatally shot McPherson in the living room before killing himself.

Metro police said there were three other people in the home who were not injured.
