Metro police are investigating after a person showed up at TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center with a gunshot wound early Tuesday morning.
Metro police were called to a home on Hart Avenue in East Nashville around 12:30 a.m. after a concerned citizen reported the sound of gunfire.
Officers reportedly found multiple spent shell casings in the street and near a front porch.
A short time later, the victim walked into Southern Hills with a non-life threatening gunshot wound and said they were shot on Hart Avenue, according to Metro police.
No suspect description was released and the investigation is ongoing.
