Police identify man killed in Talbot’s Corner shooting

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro police are searching for the gunman responsible for a fatal shooting Monday night in Northeast Nashville.

Officers responded around 5:45 p.m. to Glade Street, off West Trinity Lane, where 36-year-old Terry Wayne Comer Jr. was found alone in the backseat of a Dodge Charger with a gunshot wound to the neck. 

Comer was transported to Skyline Medical Center where he died. 

Police said at least two people in a maroon single-cab truck, possibly a Ford, drove up and fired multiple shots into the Charger before speeding off. 

This is the 17th homicide in Metro Nashville in 2019. At this time last year, there had been 27 murders.
