Police: 1 killed in North Nashville shooting

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – One man is dead after being shot in North Nashville, according to a release from Metro police.

The shooting happened around 5 p.m. Saturday outside the Wireless Z store in the 1800 block of D.B. Todd Jr. Boulevard. 

The investigation shows a man with a rifle got out of a black car and ran toward 31-year-old Rasheed Walker. Walker attempted to leave but he was shot as he ran away.

Walker was taken to Vanderbilt University, and later died from his injuries.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the shooting. Anyone with information about Walker’s murder is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. 

No other information was released.
