Newsmaker: Sgt. Chad Young, Metro Police Auto Theft Unit

Crime Tracker

Here’s an alarming number:  3,114

That’s how many cars were stolen in Nashville last year.

Keys were still inside more than half of those stolen cars.

Right now, the total so far this year is on pace to hit more than 3, 300 stolen cars.

Sgt. Chad Young with Nashville’s auto theft unit stopped by News 2 to talk about what you can do to stop car thieves.

This segment is part of our day-long series of reports on the Car Theft Crime Wave.
