A Nashville woman died from her injuries after her 17-year-old son shot her in the head, then killed himself, in an apparent murder-suicide on Tuesday night, police say.
They don’t know what motivated the 17-year-old boy to do such a thing.
Officers were called to the home on Chesapeake Drive at 8:25 p.m. Tuesday after another family member reported the shooting.
Police say Tiffany Redmon, 38, was shot in the head by her son, Jshaun Redmon, who ran from the house. They say he shot himself in the head and died at the scene.
Officers found Jshaun in a yard across the street.
Police say Tiffany Redmon is not expected to survive the shooting on her 38th birthday. Police confirmed she died at the hospital on Thursday.
