Most Wanted: Suspected serial shoplifter sought in Nashville

More than a dozen shoplifting incidents within two months in the same area of Nashville are believed to involve the same suspect, authorities said Monday. 

Metro police released surveillance images from several of the thefts and identified the suspected serial shoplifter in the pictures as Michael Baucom, Jr. 

Baucom is accused of taking big-ticket items during a crime spree beginning July 31 at the Walmart on Lebanon Pike and ending September 24 at the Home Depot on Old Hickory Boulevard. 

Police said Baucom is the suspect in the following shoplifting incidents: 

July 31: Walmart – 4424 Lebanon Pike 

Aug. 8: Kroger – 4400 Lebanon Pike 

Aug. 10: Kroger – 4400 Lebanon Pike 

Aug. 14: Kroger – 4400 Lebanon Pike 

Aug. 15: Kroger – 4400 Lebanon Pike 

Aug. 19: Kroger – 5544 Old Hickory Blvd 

Aug. 20: Kroger – 4400 Lebanon Pike 

Aug. 21: Kroger – 4400 Lebanon Pike 

Aug. 29: Kroger – 4400 Lebanon Pike 

Sept. 3: Kroger – 4400 Lebanon Pike 

Sept. 10: Kroger – 4400 Lebanon Pike 

Sept. 12: Kroger – 4400 Lebanon Pike 

Sept. 24: Home Depot – 5010 Old Hickory Blvd 

The 46-year-old is wanted on at least 13 charges of theft, 13 charges of trespassing and 7 charges of bail jumping. 

More charges are possible in the investigation.
