A man’s stolen lawn equipment was found at a pawn shop in early November, now, the victim’s neighbor has been arrested and charged with theft.
Metro police arrested Ryan Maynard, 21, and charged him with theft and burglary of a motor vehicle.
Maynard lives within walking distance to the man officer’s say he stole from.
According to an arrest affidavit, the victim had lawn equipment in the bed of his truck, a weed eater and lawnmower, costing about $440.
Police say those two items were sold at a Cash America pawn shop for $60. Officers say Maynard used his photo ID to pawn the lawn equipment.
Maynard was arrested in Nashville Thursday.
