Metro police arrest man ‘covered’ in marijuana, carrying bucket of weed

A man who was found stumbling down a street and “covered in marijuana” early Friday morning is charged with felony drug offenses. 

Metro police arrested Thomas Ervin and charged him with felony drug offense and public intoxication. 

According to his arrest affidavit, officers found Ervin stumbling down Alamo Place carrying a red bucket. Police asked him what he had taken and officers say he said a “few beers and some weed.”

There were bags of marijuana in the red bucket weighing about 100 grams and Erwin had marijuana all over his clothing, according to the affidavit. 

Police say there was a fine green powder in the bucket Erwin said might be Xanax.
