Man found on North Nashville sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds

A man was shot multiple times in North Nashville early Wednesday morning.  

Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Dr. D.B. Todd Jr. Boulevard around 1:30 a.m.  

Metro police said arriving officers found the victim on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds to his hip and thigh.  

He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.  

He refused to cooperate with the investigation and would only tell officers he was shot by a black man in a red and gray SUV, according to Metro police.  

Metro police said officers were unable to locate any additional evidence or a secondary crime scene.  

No additional information was immediately released.
