A man is facing charges after he reportedly strangled the mother of his children in North Nashville Thursday night.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. at a home on Delta Avenue.
Metro police reported officers were called to the home for a domestic situation after a woman said she had been strangled by her child’s father and he pulled a knife on her.
When officers arrived, the man told police he had been stabbed in the back, according to Metro police.
He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
An aggravated assault warrant has been issued for the unidentified man’s arrest. No additonal information was immediately released.
