NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man was critically wounded in a shooting south of downtown Nashville late Monday night.
A neighbor called 911 just before 11 p.m. to report the sound of gunshots on Carrol Street.
Metro police said the caller found a 24-year-old man lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the stomach.
He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with critical injuries.
Detectives are working to determine if the shooting stemmed from a robbery attempt.
No suspect description was immediately released.
