NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man has been arrested after a woman was grazed by a bullet Monday night following an altercation in North Nashville.

Deon Fields, 24, was charged Tuesday with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

According to an arrest affidavit, Metro police responded around 11 p.m. to a location on Maclaurin Court for a possible shooting that had occurred a short distance away on Old Matthews Road.

Two women told officers they got into an altercation with Fields’ sister and tried to drive away from the home on Old Matthews Road.

As they were leaving, the women said Fields fired shots at them.

One of the women was grazed by a bullet, police explained.

Officers on the scene said they discovered four bullets holes in the women’s vehicle.

Fields previously served time in jail on an aggravated burglary charge in Sumner County.
