NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 25-year-old man has been charged in connection with a series of suspicious fires set over the weekend inside of an East Nashville home.

Crews responded Sunday to a residence on Pennock Avenue near Vaughn Street where it appeared fires had been set all throughout the structure.

According to an arrest affidavit, security cameras showed Michael Worthan, 25, enter the home and leave a short time later, as smoke was then seen coming from the residence.

Combustible liquid had been poured in multiple rooms and used as an accelerant, investigators said.

No injuries were reported as a result.

Metro police said they were called to the home for a domestic dispute about 24 hours prior to the fire.

Worthan was charged Monday with aggravated arson and domestic assault.

His bond was set at $51,000.
