A man wanted for a bank robbery in Mississippi has been arrested at his home in Russellville, Kentucky.
Russell John Shelton, 50, was taken into custody around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday at a residence on Rhea Boulevard.
Earlier in the day, agents with the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force were contacted by a federal probation and parole officer in reference to a bank robbery in Lauderdale County, Mississippi.
Shelton, who lived in Logan County, was suspected in the robbery.
Task Force agents and Russellville police arrived at Shelton’s home Tuesday night and arrested him without incident.
Shelton was transported to the Logan County jail where he was held on a $250,000 bond.
