A former Christian County assistant basketball coach entered a not guilty plea on a third-degree rape charge after being arraigned in court Wednesday.
According to WHOP, an indictment from a Christian County Grand Jury alleged that between January and February of 2018 25-year-old Marcoreyon Tandy engaged in sexual intercourse with a minor under the age of 18 with whom he held a position of authority.
Tandy was an assistant basketball coach at Christian County High School but was fired in April after an internal investigation that indicated he had engaged in inappropriate behavior.
He is scheduled for another court appearance on Oct. 3.
