East Nashville woman hit by crime 2 days in a row

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) - A woman in East Nashville is hit by crime two days in a row and she believes the suspects are all teens.

First porch pirates take her packages then the following day someone snatched her purse.

The woman lives near Cahal Avenue and had to make two police reports in two days.

First, on Tuesday around 1 p.m. three thieves stole three packages. In the video, you can see they have their shirts over their heads and have a bit of a tug of war over one of the boxes.

A neighbor saw the suspects get into a car parked about a block away and make off in a newer model bright blue sedan.

The victim says they got away with 2 chairs and a package of supplements in all about $450 of product.

The next day the woman was walking home from CVS on Gallatin Pike around 4:30 when she says a man came up behind her and snatched her purse. The victim said he had a large rock in his raised hand and acted as though he was going to strike her in the head.

She described the suspect as being a 15 or 16-year-old African American around 5'7" with acne and unkept hair, wearing a grey sweat suit.

The victim said she has a number of emotions from being angry to scared, but that it is clear something needs to be done about keeping youth engaged.
