NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro police arrested a man wanted on 9 outstanding warrants and ended up charging him with 14 crimes.

Adayse Gaddy, 46, is charged with weapons and drugs violations and evading arrest.

Metro officers reported trying to arrest Gaddy on those outstanding warrants Friday but said he didn’t stop when they tried to pull him over. Gaddy swerved around a police cruiser and sped past cars, according to his arrest affidavit. The officer called off the pursuit after losing sight of Gaddy.

Police say a few hours later, a person called saying there were people in their yard trying to get a car out of mud. When officers arrived, they reported finding Gaddy.

Gaddy’s house was searched in this investigation and officers say they found “multiple rifles and several pistols.”

Gaddy is a convicted felon and prohibited from having weapons.

He is being held in the Davidson County Jail and is not eligible to be released because of a probation violation.
