5 pounds of cocaine, $153K found in South Nashville motel room

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two men have been arrested following the discovery of more than five pounds of cocaine and a large amount of cash inside a South Nashville motel room.

Jorge Nieves-Sanchez, 53, and Javier Calderon-Garcia, 26, face multiple drug charges.

According to arrest affidavits, Metro police executed a narcotics-related search warrant Monday at the Roadway Inn off Interstate 24 at Harding Place. 

The two men were located inside of the motel room, along with more than five pounds of cocaine and approximately $153,000 in cash, the paperwork states.

Police said the men denied ownership of the cocaine and cash but were arrested.

Nieves-Sanchez and Calderon-Garcia were each booked into the Metro jail on a $100,000 bond.
