NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) - Two juveniles were arrested Wednesday night and charged with criminal homicide.
16-year-old Javonterious Starnes and 17-year-old Deaundre Ridley were both arrested and charged with criminal homicide for the June 11 shooting of 55-year-old Beverly Hicks, according to police.
Police said on June 11, two men in a silver Nissan Maxima opened fire at a home on Calais Circle in Antioch. Hicks was in bed when bullets through a window and struck her.
She was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and ultimately died on July 10 from complications of being shot, according to a release.
According to investigators, the gunfire came from a dispute the suspects were having with Hick’s 16-year-old nephew. The suspects, Starnes and Ridley allegedly robbed and shot 16-year-old Lazerick Lambert on June 8 at Haynes Park Drive.
Police said the bullets that killed Hicks were allegedly meant for Lambert, who also lived in the home.
