Two people were critically wounded in 2 separate shootings early Sunday morning in South Nashville.
Metro police were called around 2 a.m. to Bucanas Night Club on Nolensville Road near Elysian Fields Road for a report of gunshots being fired.
A short time later a young man showed up at TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his chest, police said. That victim, in his 20s, was critically injured.
No other details were immediately released in that shooting.
Less than 5 minutes after the first call, police were called to Joyner Avenue just off of Nolensville Road where they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. This is just about two miles north of the first scene.
That shooting victim was a man in his 40s with bullet wounds to his torso and arms, according to police who said their investigation showed that the shooting actually happened on Miller Street.
The victim was critically injured and taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, said police.
So far nothing has been released about suspects or motives in either of these shooting.
