Metro police have arrested two men accused of robbing a Brentwood area hotel and sexually assaulting a female clerk.

Metro police reported two armed men wearing hooded sweatshirts with their faces covered entered the Hyatt Place Hotel on Summit View Drive around 3 p.m.

They demanded money from the register and after one of two female clerks complied, one of the men held one woman at gunpoint while the other sexually assaulted the second woman, according to Metro police.

Metro police said they fled the hotel and ran to a nearby apartment complex where they were seen driving away in a orange Ford Mustang.

Two officers soon spotted the Mustang on the interstate and followed it as it exited I-65 at Rosa Parks Boulevard and into the Metro Center area.

Louis Steele, 25, and Tony Gooch, 26, were detained after the Mustang pulled into the parking lot of Wise Burger.

Steele and Gooch were identified by the victims during a lineup.

Steele is charged with aggravated rape, aggravated robbery, and aggravated assault. Gooch is being charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault.

No additional information was immediately released.

A representative for Hyatt Hotels released a statement to News 2, which reads:

The safety and security of associates and guests are top priorities at Hyatt House Nashville/Brentwood. The hotel is cooperating with local authorities on their investigation, and inquiries should be directed to the Brentwood Police Department.
