Two people have been charged in connection with a weekend burglary at a construction site near Charlotte Park.
Brian Anderson, 38, and Sherry Johnson, 32, were charged Saturday with burglary.
According to an arrest affidavit, Metro police were called to a construction site on Westboro Drive where a house being built had been broken into.
When officers arrived, they said Anderson was inside the home holding a crowbar. He was taken into custody.
Police said they located heroin on Anderson.
He also had active warrants for burglary and theft of property in Davidson County, officers said.
Police said Johnson was inside of Anderson’s vehicle, which matched the description of the car used in another construction theft.
Officers were also notified of a burglary that happened sometime between November 30 and December 3 at a construction site on Governors Court.
An estimated $1,500 in items were stolen from an employee including a generator and several ladders, police said.
Some of the stolen items had been pawned.
Anderson was identified as the suspect in that case, as well.
