A 17-year-old was shot in South Nashville late Tuesday night.
Metro police found the male victim lying in the grass outside a home on Creekside Drive around 10:45 p.m.
Officers were initially called to the area on a report of shots fired before receiving a call reporting a robbery with a possible shooting victim, according to Metro police.
The victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He is expected to survive.
Metro police said narcotics were found at the scene of the shooting.
The shooting remains under investigation and no additional information was released.
