NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) —Metro police are investigating after a man was seriously injured and another assaulted during a robbery attempt in Antioch late Wednesday night.
The gunshot victim told Metro police the robbery happened when he and three others arrived at a duplex on Anderson Road in the Priest Lake community just before midnight.
When the victims arrived at the home, a car stopped them and four suspects got out, demanded money and told the victims to lie on the ground, according to investigators.
Metro police said the gunshot victim was brought inside the suspects’ vehicle where he was shot in the groin before the suspects drove away.
The gunshot victim was taken to TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center with serious injuries before he was transferred to TriStar Skyline Medical Center for further treatment.
Another victim required medical treatment after he was struck with a handgun, according to Metro police.
The suspects reportedly fled the scene in a dark-colored sedan. Two of the four suspects were described by Metro police as black men.
