Crews investigating house fire in South Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) - Nashville Fire Department crews are on the scene of a house fire in South Nashville. 

The call went out a little after 6:45 in the 2300 block of Winford Avenue. 

Officials said the first arriving fire crew saw heavy smoke coming from the house and quickly extinguished the fire. 

According to fire investigators, the fire appeared to start in the middle bedroom. The fire is under investigation. 

The house was vacant and no injuries were reported. Officials don't know if anyone was inside and left prior to firefighters arriving.
