Nissan Stadium will host the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football Gold Cup Semifinal in 2019. Concacaf made the announcement Tuesday.

The match will take place Wednesday, July 3.

“We are excited to be selected as one of the semi-final venues for the 2019 Gold Cup,” said Bob Flynn, Titans Vice President of Facilities and Game Day Operations.

This is the second time Concacaf has selected Nashville for a high profile game.

The U.S. and Panama played a Concacaf Gold Cup preliminary match in Nashville on July 8, 2017 in front of 47,000 soccer fans.

“We’re thrilled to welcome the Gold Cup back to Nashville next year,” Nashville Mayor David Briley told Titansonline.com.

For the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation, a major soccer match on July 3rd followed by the annual massive July 4th celebration boosts Nashville’s image on the national and international stage

The U.S. men’s national team could end up playing in the Nashville match if they advance in the tournament.

Concacaf represents teams from 41 nations, from Canada to Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana.
